When people think of fruit, they usually think of things they really like. Tropical fruit flavors are wonderful and the world would not be the same without them. Currently, fruit drinks are becoming popular for their nutritional value, and we want to explore the nutritional value of many of these fruits.
Fruit juice can be very good for the brain, for we read:
In a large epidemiological study, researchers found that people who drank three or more servings of fruit and vegetable juices per week had a 76 percent lower risk of developing Alzheimer's disease than those who drank juice less than once per week.
The study by Vanderbilt's Qi Dai, M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor of Medicine, and colleagues appears in the September issue of The American Journal of Medicine (mc.vanderbilt.edu/reporter/index.html?ID=4980).
Fruit in the morning, and not mixed with anything else, can be very healthy and energizing all throughout the day. |
